Early in the Morning, start the tour from your hotel around Galle area and proceed to Kandy. While on the way to Kandy, visit Pinnawala elephant orphanage. Again start one day tour to visit Temple of the tooth. After taking the lunch, we will visit a beautiful botanic garden at peradeniya. Next visit will be a tea plantation at Kandy. End of the one day tour,visit herbal garden at Kandy. Drop off at the pick-up point.

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage

Pinnawala is the most popular and accessible place to see large numbers of these lovable animals in a natural habitat. The Orphanage is open from 8.30am to 5.45pm and visitors can interact a little with the elephants during the regulated bathing and feeding times.

Temple of the tooth relic

The Temple of the Tooth Sri Lanka popularly known as the “Sri Dalada Maligawa” is one of the most picturesque and iconic Buddhist temples in the country and is a prominent itinerary item in the list of Kandy things to do.

Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden

Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya are about 5.5 km to the west of the city of Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It attracts 2 million visitors annually.This garden cover some 60ha (150 acres) of trees, lawns and flowering shrubs, including a 20-ha (50-acre) arboretum of more than 10,000 trees.

Tea Plantation

The central province is the main region where Sri Lanka’s top exporting good Ceylon Tea is produced. Significant areas in the upcountry were converted to tea plantations during the time of British colonization. In the beginning of British rule, tea plants were introduced to the island in hopes of creating a lucrative export industry.

Visit a spice garden in Matale to see many different types of spices. Heritage Spice & Herbs Garden With an attractive, shady garden, this spice specialist runs informative tours. Usually, Sri Lankans like to cook their meals adding distinctive spices like pepper, cinnamon, cloves, ginger or nutmeg.
